Chateau Frontenac in the day with colorful buildings on street in Quebec City

OMG!  These were the first words we pronounced when we got to Quebec City.    After an 8 hour drive, tired and hunger, we drove onto a huge, bright bridge, and we felt like we were entering into a wonderful story.  In one second we forgot about everything.

We arrived at 10 pm in Old Quebec and the old town was full of light, music, laughter, and life.  We were pleasantly surprised by our hotel because it was in the middle of all this.  We had a view of Chateau Frontenac from our front window.

Quebec City dates back to 1608.  It has a fortified colonial core with stone buildings and narrow streets that gives it a feeling of medieval times.   The Citadel of Quebec amplified this feeling of the historical city.   Quebec City is one of the oldest cities in North America.

The next day our feeling of “petit France” appeared again because of the narrow, paved streets full of tourists and, of course, the French serenades from every corner.   On Terrasse Dufferin I forgot about the time and I stopped and enjoyed the spirit of eternity of the Saint Lawrence River.   I fell in love with this old city and definitely will be coming back.    I would recommend that everyone should visit this World Heritage Site, Old Quebec City.
