This year our best vacation ever was in Cortes Island. It was a short vacation, but we had fun and really enjoyed the island and the weather. We have been there last year and then Felipe, my husband, proposed we go back each summer season.

My husband organized everything, each detail; he takes our good care.

Cortes Island is a beautiful and warm place to go with your family. The access is by ferry (from Campbell River), aeroplane or boat. We took two ferries to arrive there, Campbell River to Quatar Island and Quatar Island to Cortes. We rented a super nice cabin. In Cortes the people are very friendly, and you can find nice restaurants and bakery where the quality of products is very good.

Also, you can find different things to do. There are treks, kayak, stand-up pedal board; you can go pick berries at the local farms. Felipe and I decided to try the stand-up pedal board. We had a good first experience and are almost sure that we will try more times.

You might think that you need to spend a lot of money to go on a nice vacation, but the reality is that you need a good place, with good people and in the end, its up to you and your family to be happy. I was back to the routine full of energy and more motivated.
