Driving

I first learned to drive from a friend. In the beginning for about 10-15 minutes, he taught me how to set the side mirrors, adjust the seat, balance the steering, use the wipers, use the brake and gas, etc. After that, he took me to a church parking lot and asked me to drive. It was so exciting to drive for the first time, but when I started to drive I couldn't balance it and there was another car already parked in the lot.  To make a long story short, I was about to hit a car but my friend shouted “hit the brakes!”  I had no idea at that time how to stop the car but somehow I did that. In the beginning, it was very difficult for me to steer the car, but after a few times my driving Improved. Still I am learning and, hopefully I will learn soon.

In my homeland, driving is left handed and booster seats are not necessary. Only the driver and the person sitting in the passenger seat are required to wear seat belts and you can accommodate more than one person in each seat. You should have to give the written test and after that you should give the road test and directly get the full licence.

In Canada, driving is right handed, Booster seats are necessary, every passenger seat are required to wear seat belts.

For getting a driver’s licence in Saskatchewan, you first have to pass the written test and get the learning licence class 7, level 1. After that, you have to wait for the road test, if you learn driving from a driving school you should give the test after 8 months.  Otherwise, if you learn how to drive from someone it's necessary to have the person sitting with you and they should have a full driver’s licence.  You should then give the road test after 12 months. After passing the road test, you should get the class 7, level 2 license to drive. I don't have any driving experience in winter right now, but very soon I will drive in winter also so I am very excited for that.
