Immigrating to Canada is a challenging task. By deciding to come to Canada, you have taken one of the biggest risks in your life. There are so many things you need to take care of; you don’t know where to begin. And when you finally move there, you feel like a fish out of water, but remember your dreams about coming to Canada. Many Canadian immigrants wonder how to get a successful job in Canada.

First of all, you should know that job success doesn't come overnight. Be patient and stay positive. These are the two poles that will help you find a good job. Positivity is the key because when you’re going for a job interview, no one wants a negative person around. The important thing is to stay positive, focused and keep smiling. Remember, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Improving the language is another step to job success in Canada. Many new immigrants speak English but they need perfection. Improving your language skills takes time and practice. Once you’ve decided that you want to learn English, you should learn a new English word every day. The more English words you know, the better you will be able to express yourself at work. Another way to improve your language is to make friends with English speaking people and try to speak as much as possible. Practice your English language skills every day. Listen to English news channels on the TV and on the radio.

Once you know exactly what you want then it’s time to look for a job and take the best opportunity for you. Be confident; it’s important to believe in yourself and to make sure others know that. For newcomers I will recommend when you are looking for a job, don’t think about levels. The important thing is to get your foot in the door. Never stop learning; never give up; have perseverance and keep working hard!!!
