Settlement

Toronto is the first place I visited outside Mexico. At that time, I was a teenager and what that trip gave me is indescribable. Toronto will always be in my heart as it is the place that taught me not to settle and always keep discovering. After a couple of months living in such a beautiful city, I went back to Mexico, but my mind and heart always remained in the “North”.

After more than 10 years of wishing to be back in Canada, I made it to Canada as a permanent resident in 2017. This time I chose to live in British Columbia. It is very hard to start your life in Canada in such an expensive environment but being surrendered by the ocean and those beautiful mountains are worth the challenge. Today I can say that nature that surrounds BC is what now nourishes my spirit.
