Hi, my name is Galyna. I have come to Canada from Ukraine. I was born and grew up in the Soviet Union. My youth had to face a difficult time of Perestroika after the Soviet Union broke up. Because of this I did not have the opportunity to study at the university. I was working at the farmer’s market. After that I was working in the Post Office of Ukraine. After the birth of my second child, I started working in a bakery. And since I like to bake, I really enjoyed working there.

In June 2012 my family came to Canada. I have five members in my family. My husband, Vitalii, is a welder. He is a very kind and careful person. My oldest daughter Yuliya , graduated from school two years ago, and right now she is working at A&W as a cashier and studying at school in the evening. Next year she planning go to the SIAST for a paramedic course. My son Maksym is in grade 10, he is an Air Cadet. His dream is to join the Canadian Air Force. My youngest daughter Veronika is in grade 5. Her favorite hobby is gymnastics. Also she likes cooking and singing.

My first job in Canada was at SUBWAY, as a sandwich maker. Three and a half years ago we moved to Saskatoon. The reason is that my husband got a new job . My first job in Saskatoon was a cashier in a Ukrainian Groceries Store. After that one year I started working as a self-employed cleaner. Now I am working at SUBWAY near our home. My goal is to work at Canada Post. In order to do that I need to improve my English. We are also planning to apply for Canadian Citizenship.

We are very grateful to our Lord for giving us a chance to live in Canada and for the chance for our kids to have a better future. I hope that our lessons will have good results and be fun.
