In my opinion, university education should not be fully government funded and part of tuition fees should be paid by students themselves. Firstly, earning money to support their university education will force students to participate in the society's activities so that they can be familiar with the real world.
In the meantime, they will actually understand how difficult it will be to earn money in real life and the workplace. Therefore, they will be more likely to cherish the opportunity and study harder to get new knowledge and high technologies from university in order to take advantage of the education privilege, which will enable them to get more benefits in the near future.
In addition, working in the real society at the same time as going to school will make them attain much more work experience, which is sure to give them a leg after graduating from university. So, it is not a bad thing to be independent of full government funding!
