Volunteers sorting food donations

If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap.
If you want happiness for a day, go fishing.
If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune.
If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.
Chinese Proverb

Every year, more than a hundred times a year, the Philippines gets hit by a powerful storm. During the months from June to October the Philippines was hit by a typhoon! During those months it was really hard to do a lot of things because of the heavy rain. Especially for kids who suffered a lot because of the floods.

So, every time during the raining season, we volunteer to distribute a lot of relief goods. When the Philippines was hit by a typhoon not only one city, province or community suffered, it was the whole nation.

Food is expensive to buy because they are limited to get and to harvest. Crops get destroyed. Every weekend in our community it is a must do to reach out and help distribute the relief goods. These packaged goods will be sent to places that were devastated by the typhoon. We ensure that the package includes water, rice, medicine and many more items.

Sometimes, we even have a fundraising campaign to reach out and help those people in need. It is a great feeling to volunteer some of your time to help others. It might be a small help but you making a big difference for others. It is a great way to meet new friends in the process and will make you ready for the real world.
