Ice Skating Rink in the winter in Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Winter in Canada is not like any other winter that I have ever experienced. Most people who have moved from Asia or Europe find it hard to adjust to the cold weather.

Through my experiences, and after spending four winters in Canada, I have learned that to enjoy the cold weather in this country you have to learn how to love it. Have some good times outside with family in the mountains skiing and snowboarding. Canada is a major ski destination. Go ice skating inside, try outside skating during the nicer, sunnier days with your family and friends. Enjoy the nice views of the fields and the trees filled with bright, white snow, especially if you’re living in a smaller town - you will love it!

When the snow is falling you’re usually thinking that you can’t have as much fun outside with friends, but you can with all the festivals happening. Going on horse rides, drinking hot chocolate, walking around town while everyone is playing hockey outside with their friends and watching children running around having fun will help you appreciate the winter.

These are some of the fun things you can do in winter but always keep in mind to wear warm clothes and drive safely wherever you're going.
