Red building exterior with white door - canada flag printed on door

I grew up in a family that used to travel, and we even lived in Brazil twice. Sometimes, I thought that I can find a better and safer life somewhere else. My husband and I wanted to give this opportunity to Celeste, our daughter.

The first time that we lived in Brazil was because my father earned his Masters’ degree in this country, and then, the second time, he had the opportunity to come back to Brazil to exchange his ideas and knowledge.  At that time, I understood that there were a lot of different things to discover around the world.

Additionally, our family had a hard time when I was in my teen years, and I always thought I could be better to live in a safe country, where I could walk quietly on the streets, where there was respect for people’s rights, and open minds.

At the end, I was looking for the best country for our daughter, where children grow up safely and where they enjoy life, education, a fair treatment and a possibility of development.

And I have found all these here, in Canada.

Thanks Canada, to open doors for my family and other families with dreams like ours.
