Sun sticker on wet window

I remember that day when my family doctor sent me to a specialist. I called the office to book an appointment, and to verify the address of the office. After I called them, I realized that it was the only office in Ottawa, and it was far away: it was about 45 minutes from my house.

On the day of my appointment, I asked my husband to stay home if any of the children of my child daycare business came early. I left home early to arrive early, but I was stuck in traffic. When I arrived at the specialist’s office, I looked everywhere to find a place to park my car, but I could not find any spot. I had to call the doctor’s office to ask where there was a parking lot. They told me that there was a three storey parking building on the other side of the building. I went there, and parked my car, and then I saw a sign to pay first.

First, I went to the machine to pay, and I saw a sign that said “pay by Visa or cash”. I tried to pay by Visa, but my Visa wasn’t working. I didn’t know why it wasn’t working. Second, I looked at how much change I had, and I found that I only had $2.75, and I needed $3.00 to pay for parking.

I looked around, and saw a lady. I told her my story, and how I was late for my appointment. I asked her to give me 25¢ to help pay for the parking, and she gave to me. When I was trying to put the change in the machine, I dropped the money on the floor, and I could not find all of the money. I told her that I was having a very bad day.

She paid all the parking fees for me, and gave me the ticket. I told her to give me her phone’s number, so I could return the money to her. She said “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year”, and left. She was a very nice woman, and she saved my day.
