Rice Terraces in Northern of Vietnam

I was born in Thailand, but I am ethnic Hmong ethnic and we have our own unique language and dress code. Hmong is an ethnic group that lives on a hill away from the city and we have a school for children to study.

Our main occupation is farming mostly of lychee gardens, rice and maize. January-April is resting time because there are no products to harvest. May is the time to store lychee for sale later on and June is the month of rice and corn planting because it takes three months to do. We also harvest rice and corn.

There are many things we like to do in Thailand. From December 25th to 30th, it is a tradition to celebrate Hmong New Year every year. The most special place to visit is the waterfalls and to collect wild vegetables there. It is very beautiful with fresh air and you can catch fish and crabs to bring back to cook.

Our lives are nothing more than this and we do not suffer from money problems. Everyone lives the same way and we live happily.
