Speaking about Egypt and its civilization is a hot topic and certainly is worth writing about it too.

Egypt has a great ancient civilization of seven thousand years. Ancient Egyptians, “Pharaohs”, left a pretty rich heritage that is considered honour of any Egyptian.

Egypt, on its own, has more than one third of world’s monuments. As an Egyptian woman, let me take you in a quick tour of Egypt.

When I mentioned Egypt, the Nile River might be the first thing that came to your mind. It is a famous landmark which is one of the longest rivers in the world. It is about 6,650 km long and it covers eleven countries. It was the main resource of agriculture and life in Egypt for many years.

If you are interested in history and ancient monuments, maybe Giza would be your desired destination. There you could find The Great Pyramids Of Giza, which is one of The Seven Wonders Of the Ancient World, and Sphinx,  a statue with human’s  head and lion’s body,  which is a symbol of both power and wisdom.

Luxor and Aswan play an important role in attracting tourists to Egypt from all over the world. They are situated in Upper Egypt. There you could find a lot of temples and ancient monuments, such as Luxor Temple, Karnak and Abu Simble. You are allowed to take photos and to do researches if you want.

According to my personal experience, I have visited Aswan five years ago and it was more than amazing. It is considered as one of the best winter resorts in the whole world because of its warm weather, specially in winter. There you could enjoy breathtaking natural views. You could visit Nubia, region in Aswan, where you enjoy a comfortable atmosphere. Nubia is a  pretty beautiful place characterized by its decorated houses with different colours . Moreover, you might be a guest of any Nubian family and have the chance to enter their house and enjoy their traditional food.

If you are interested in summer holidays, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh or Marsa Alam might be your perfect choice. They are located on Red Sea. There you could enjoy many activities like scuba diving, safari, riding a camel or watching the coral reefs which is considered the best of in the world.

For the food lovers, Egyptian cuisine has many delicious dishes like Kushari, Fool and Tameya. You would be very excited to try them.

As a tourist, you can buy lots of souvenirs for your family or friends, such as mini Pyramids, belly dancing outfit, scarab, leather slippers, Egyptian Galabya  or  glass sand bottle.
