When I came to Canada for the first time I was scared because it was a new place with new people and a new culture. Missing my family made it more difficult but when I found people from my home country here in Canada, it made it a bit easier for me and my husband especially because he did not know a word of English. When people around me started talking to me I found them friendly and nice. The most funny story happened when we were at the airport when we were on our way to the city that we live in now. Neither my husband nor I spoke English at that time except for a few basic words and we got lost in the airport in Quebec City! Luckily we were able to find our way and get to where we wanted to go. I don’t think we would have liked to stay overnight at the airport!
