Technology plays a major role in our society nowadays. Take an example of smartphones.  Before, if we were travelling, we needed to carry a mini stereo system, our camera and everything. And if we need to make calls we needed to search for a public phone booth. Now all of these are packaged into 1 smartphone with even better sound quality and picture quality. And if we are lost somewhere, Google Map is always there to give directions. Earlier we used to carry maps with us. However, technology is hindering our society because before we used to go out and play games, but nowadays kids growing up playing games in their play station.  Because of that, obesity is the main disease for kids. 

The Internet has made a big difference in our society. Because after social media came in our life it helped us to get connected with our loved ones. Now whichever part of the world you live in, you can use video calling to talk to your loved ones and talk to them in person. 

The computer has made life very easy because earlier we used to do all our work on paper. And the main drawback of using papers was that every year tons of trees were being cut down. Which used to affect our wildlife. And then for sending an important document you needed to send it through the post, which takes a few days but now you can send any document through e-mail in any part of the world.
