“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning. Teaching is a very noble profession that shapes the character, caliber, and future of an individual.” Unknown.

My name is Jingwen, a Chinese immigrant, who has a warm family in Toronto now.   I have two handsome sons. Every day I am busy playing with them, teaching them to play the piano, reading to them and so on.  Although it's a very tiresome, full-time job, I enjoy every moment.

Ten years ago, I worked as a private teacher in China.  I taught student one on one, face to face. I worked very hard and the parents and students spoke highly of me, because of my dedication.  But, I did not feel very happy, because I wanted to be a really exceptional teacher who could teach many students in the classrooms, could play with the students, could have a heart-to-heart talk with students and engage them in various developmental activities.   A private teacher just teaches students how to finish their papers, the school curriculum and how to get high scores.

After four years of hard work, I finally got a job as a teacher in a public school. That time I had to manage 50 students every day.  Some of the students were very active and hard to control.  It was a great challenge for me.  I tried to make friends with them.  Let them believe in me and learn with me together. Through my hard work, many students found their dreams and made decisions to let their dreams come true. Jingwen was satisfied with staying with her students.   I really loved my job--to be a teacher.

"By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest." – Confucius.

Now I am my two sons' teacher.   I enjoy it although it isn't an easy job.  I also dream to be a teacher in Canada after I improve my English and get the necessary qualifications.
