In Iran, people like celebrations. Celebrations for birthday – some anniversary.
October 7 is the anniversary of my family coming to Canada. I celebrate every year on that day and we celebrate our birthdays and my marriage day too.
In Iran there are a lot of holidays, like the last day of Ramadan fasting, for Muslim people.
Nowruz is the first day of the New Year and spring too. Nowruz is an important celebration for Iranian people. Some part of Iran, Kurdistan, Iraq, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Syria, they all celebrate Nowruz. People buy new clothes for themselves and their families. Young people go to see the old people. They eat with them and talk about a lot of things. Children visit their parents. Rich people help poor people.
I think all people should celebrate almost everything important because it brings a lot of happiness.
