Haiti Independence Day is celebrated annually on January first. That celebration has been taken place across Haiti since 1804. Haitian people is the first black nation in the world. The president of Haiti usually goes to the namesake place which calls independence place Gonaives city. In that place, the act of the independence has been read for the first time by the independence heroes. Also, people usually go to the namesake place Independence Day to celebrate with parade, concert and outdoor festival. In the cathedral church, Christian families and government members celebrate in the remembrance of the heroes. It is the most memorable day of the year for Haiti which is coincide with the first day of the year. Also, that day is celebrated as family day. A special food is made to share with family members. That food calls giraumon soup, it’s like pumpkin soup.
