Employment

My job at the restaurant is not really interesting. However, when it is not busy, what I find most interesting is to watch people around me. Tom appears to love pizzas because that’s the only thing he orders every day. Dr. Lai wants us to cut his pizza into eight pieces because he considers he doesn’t have a big mouth. However, I think he does. Jane, our food court cleaner, needs to sit for a while when she gets to a corner. Another customer a big guy with purple hair believes he is an artist and tries to stay cool all the time. He tries not to smile or say ‘Thank you’ too politely. An elderly man feels that being a vegetarian is healthy for seniors. We can see that he is still strong and energetic although he looks like a 70-year-old man with grey hair.

My boss, Sudha, is always strict, trying to observe us doing all the work. My dear colleague Simona wishes she would win a lottery one day, so she could leave this place. However, she is truly a hard-working girl. For me, I enjoy watching whatever happens every day even though not everything is interesting. I believe life will give me an answer for all my experiences in the end.
