Joy in our life is essential for mankind to have meaning and happiness.
One of the most important sources of joy is our work, and the feeling of reward we get out of it.
The rewards depend on our work ethic. It’s all related in a circle. Your work ethic will define your joy
and then you work more passionately.
As people, we have different motivations to work. But not everybody has the same level of
motivation. This creates many differences in the workplace. Some personalities will dominate the
workplace and others will be excluded. As a result, if a good work ethic is rewarded, it will dominate
the workplace and the majority will be happy from the reward. Overall, productivity will be very good.
We can see companies like Toyota and Google as an example for encouraging a good work ethic
and how that reflects in productivity and reputation. These employees feel proud to work for these
companies.
On the other hand, if a lazy work ethic dominates the workplace, it will have a negative impact
on workplace atmosphere, productivity, reputation, and the internal/external image.
That will have a very bad impact on the workers and the type of services that institutions deliver.
In conclusion, we can see many personalities dominate the workplace. If management
encourages a strong workplace ethic, everybody will be happy, and the company will be great. On the
other hand, if the opposite happens, neither the employee nor employer will be happy.
That is why a highlight on a good work ethic is important for both people to feel fulfilled, and
companies or institutions to grow.
