There are various recipes for chicken biryani, but I would like to share mine.

Ingredients for up to 6 people:

One whole chicken (cut into pieces)

1 teaspoon of onion paste

1 teaspoon of ginger paste

1 teaspoon of garlic paste

1 teaspoon of cumin powder  

3 teaspoons of desired nuts  

Handful of mint leaves  

Handful of green chilies  

3 tablespoons of all-natural yogurt

Salt to taste  

1 tablespoon lime juice  

6 cups Tilda basmati rice

2 tablespoons of ghee

6 chopped small onions  

First you marinate the chicken with the listed spices, yogurt, lime juice, chilies, and nuts. Marinate the chicken for 1 hour. While chicken is marinating, you prepare the rice. To prepare the rice you rinse the rice and start to boil it. While the rice is preparing, take the marinated chicken and cook it in a pot with the ghee and chopped onions on medium heat for 30 minutes. After the chicken is cooked you mix it in with the cooked rice and let that sit on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes. Once the 5 to 10 minutes are over, spread the mint leaves over top. You are now ready to serve.
