Millennials Using Social Media

Today, social media is one of the most popular internet services. Millions of the people have already signed up at least in one of the social networks. They post selfies, photos of their travels, photos of their kids, and tons of other information about themselves.

At first glance, social media helps people to stay in touch with their friends across the world. People share information with their friends about the changes in their life, about the news they found interesting, and about the events they want to go, etc. On the other hand, people compromise their private data that can be used for criminal purposes. For example, names of their children are commonly used by parents as passwords. The information you have shared can be useful for a virus attack from a fake email address you trust. More and more threats these days take place using information people share in their social networks.

In my opinion, we should use social networks more carefully and responsibly. We should focus on the security of our privacy. For example, do not accept a friend’s request from the account you do not know or if it looks suspicious. Do not share information about your family occasions for public access. Do not open files and links without virus checking, etc. In the modern world, we need critical thinking more than ever.
