Library

The library back in the Philippines is nothing close to the libraries here in Canada.  In Canada all the resources at the library are free of charge for any members in or out of the library, but if you didn't bring the borrowed items back on time you need to pay a fine for holding or not returning the items. 

Public libraries in the Philippines do not have a lot of resources like the ones they have here. Government funds the libraries but not a lot of items and also there are no programs that are offered. 

Libraries indeed, are still a valuable resource in my opinion because there is such a lot of different things that are offered to you free of charge, holding a book for you, that can be borrowed later, calling you to inform you that an item you put on hold is now available for pick-up at the library, and inside the library reading or looking or surfing the Internet. Nothing is the same as the internet and that is also free.
