My name is Abraham and I was born in Asmara, Eritrea. When I was five years old, I went to school until grade eight, and I also helped my father with his work as a plumber until I left my country. In 2005, I left my country and I moved to Sudan. When I was there, I worked cutting hair as a barber and as a taxi driver. Then I came to Canada on October 1st, 2013.
Life for me has changed because everything is different, like the weather and the culture; it has been a hard time. After I lived for one year in Winnipeg, I moved to Kitchener on December 1, 2015 and then I found a job directly in manufacturing as a machine operator for two years. After that, I worked as a cleaner until I finished my contract.
Now I have started a new job at Toyota manufacturing as a machine operator. I work five days a week (sometimes six days). My weekend, I spend with my family. I have been taking them on different activities and every Sunday we watch a family movie while my wife makes the traditional coffee ceremony.
Like every person I have a dream. First, I would like to improve my English via LINC Home Study online. After I do that my first plan is to be a plumber. Besides that, I also want to be a barber. In addition, learning from my life study is important. I want to see my children grow into a successful life with their dreams. After I reach all my goals, my dream will come true.
