rider's POV on bike path

I find it safe cycling in Niagara Falls. I'm from Nigeria and it is horrible cycling in the streets over there because there aren't any cycling lanes and drivers don't respect cyclists. I'm really happy that I can ride here in Niagara Falls whenever I have some free time. I like riding bicycles because it is good exercise and it helps me to know the roads and streets. I always ride with my son. He's just 21 months old now but he has a bicycle trailer that I attach it to my bicycle. I feel 90 percent safe riding on the streets in Niagara Falls. But in my country I felt 40 percent or so, because there are no bicycle lanes and drivers will pull up to cyclists and blast their horns. My mother-in-law thinks it is not safe to ride bicycles on the roads or streets in Canada although she is Canadian. I wish she could see how it goes in Nigeria. I know it is a bit risky to ride bicycles. You have to understand that you have to be alert and aware while riding.
