I arrived in Canada 4 years ago but I had been here a few times before.
I would say that I got a strong impression when I came here for the first time. It was in 2008, a few days before Christmas. My cousin met me at the airport and then we took the bus. I remember that the bus seats were red and I liked it. I also remember that it was snowing. I remember everything like it was yesterday.
On Christmas Day, a Canadian family invited me to have dinner with them and go to church. It seemed to me that all the people were very kind and polite. I was impressed that the family had a tradition to act out a play (performance). As my English was not so good, I was given a role to hold toys for the performance in my hands.
I was also invited to celebrate the birthday of one older lady. She was 101. Amazing! She was talking to me and asked me about my trip. I saw that a lot of relatives came to visit their grandmother and had the celebration for her.
I have a lot of good memories and impressions of Canada. I fell in love with Canada and dreamed of coming here to live one day. And I did it.
