Canada is a favorite destination for most people from all over the world. Each year millions of people come to travel in Canada enjoying beautiful mountains, the Niagara Falls and the breathtaking horizons of Central Canada. Additionally, each year many people choose Canada to be their new home. I came to Canada two years ago and instantly fell in love with this country. I get inspired with Canadian people, spectacular nature as well as inclusive and welcoming environment.

I found people in Canada to be very nice and helpful. When I first came to Canada, I had neither friends nor relatives. Moreover, I was not aware of all the differences between Canadian and Egyptian lifestyles. My neighbors embraced me and started to share their life events with me. By socializing with them, I got to know their friends and expanded my network in the community. My new friends introduced me to the new lifestyle and gave some useful tips for life in a new country. For example, when my kids started school, all of the staff members and parents were keen to share every detail about the school lifestyle. I really appreciated how they respected my privacy and allowed me to gradually become involved in their community. After a few months, I had lots of friends and participated in many celebrations. I learned that life in a new country would not be easy without the help of people around me.

Canadian nature is very diverse - while having snow in the east, you can enjoy the warm weather in the west. I am lucky to have experienced Canadian weather and nature in all its diversity and uniqueness. I have lived on Vancouver Island for two years where I was surrounded by the mountains, lakes and forests. I enjoyed seeing deer in my own backyard as well as suffered from bears searching through my garbage, quite a common occurrence in this area. I also enjoyed walking under the rain the whole year round, visiting the falls and the sandy beaches, as well as witnessing the breathtaking views of the ocean. In addition, I have had a chance to go to Whistler, where I could see the photographed scenes in reality and be part of the unforgettable image. Truly, visiting different parts of Canada and experiencing its natural beauty has left me with long lasting memories.

Canada is the chosen home for many people. Interestingly, they come from different parts of the world, each with their own traditions and habits creating Canada’s diversity. This diversity allows you to travel the globe while staying in the same place, as well as helps you integrate with the community while maintaining the feeling that you are in your own country. The longer I live in Canada, the more impressed I am by the Canadian society. Canada is like a Mum helping her toddlers take the first few steps till they can walk on their own. When people first come to Canada, the government helps them to settle down. For example, the newcomers are offered language and culture courses; sometimes they are even paid for their training. Also, they are helped to find a job, to establish their career and to start earning their own money. Moreover, the government provides them with the facilities and support when they want to start their business.

I came to Canada to start a new page in my life. I am enthusiastic about trying new things and understand that it is never too late to start over. Canada with its uniqueness in cultural diversity, welcoming people and magnificent nature will surely remain a desired destination for many people and will be my chosen home forever.
