Canada

Grey Owl's cabin in Prince Albert National Park

For days, I’ve been thinking how to describe Waskesiu National Park because the images I keep in my mind of this place are difficult to describe on paper. Several unique scents and colors attracted us for the second time to visit the lake and I was really very happy. Immediately after arriving at our rented cottage, we left our things and ran to the beautiful private beach. The view was so beautiful. My children played and my husband and I enjoyed the view long after the sunset. The second day, we got up early to visit the forest and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the unique experience of seeing the deer, squirrels and so many friendly people. It truly enchanted us. A photo image or a painting could not capture the beauty as well at the mind. The third day, we went to the city center and we rented a bicycle with four wheels and went sightseeing across the city. The children were excited the same as we were. After that, we visit the Waskesiu Heritage Museum. It has displayed the human history of Waskesiu Lake and Prince Albert National Park since its 1928 creation. The Waskesiu has everything: tennis, golf, forests, Kayaks, fishing, Marina for the boats, shopping, restaurants etc. We were not allowed to jet ski, but we did not know that. I would say that Waskesiu Lake is an excellent destination not only for families, but also for everyone else.

Our trip continued to Edmonton, our next destination. This city we had visited in winter for the first time last year and it was now interesting to see it in the summer. This town really is worth visiting in the summer because it has many things to do for everybody. I will start with the city and our visit the biggest mall in Canada where there is everything; shops, an amusement park for children, swimming pool with a beach, casino, and even a hotel.

We had a wonderful day there. After that, we visit Fort Edmonton Park. It is a very popular destination for tourists. There you can see old buildings, old costumes, old cars and how Edmonton developed over time. This was a nice journey into the past.

Then, our vacation for this summer ended. We came back home full of unique images and emotions, enchanted with beauty of Canada.
