Health

Somebody said - Movement is life. If you are able to crawl, you are alive; if you are able to walk, it's good; but if you can run, it’s perfect!

The human body has about 700 muscles. But with modern world we hardly use all of them. Cars, elevators, escalators, passive ways of spending time... We cut down our physical activities. When we don't use some muscles for a while, in better scenario we get weak bodies, in worse cases muscle atrophy. Back pain, fast tiredness can be first alarms.

Can we stop it? Of course we can. The answer is - add a bit more activities. Choose stairs instead of elevator, bicycle instead of car and playing tennis with friends instead of watching one more episode of a new TV show.

Take me as an example, I have just recently realized the power of sport. I am not very good with going to the gym; I just simply cannot keep up with my work schedule. But I found my own solution! Instead of taking the bus to work I walk there and back every day. And during my days off - I usually take a walk by the lakeside. It seems not much at the first sign. But actually it's a half an hour walk on a straight road and uphill twice a day.

A regular walking program can improve your cholesterol, lower your blood pressure, improve bone strength, prevent weight gain and even boost your energy levels. Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. Lets go for a walk!
