Ethnic origins are very important for each society, it is because they are how we remember our roots, heritage and our background. For me they are part of my identity, they are something that we have to keep and protect for our whole life.

Ethnic origins are not just something related to where we come from. They are strictly related to culture. Culture is how well we preserve our own identity: food, music, clothing, beliefs, traditions, art, language, dialects and in certain cases even religion.

The most important thing about culture is to respect each other’s ethnic origins as well as showing respect for diversity and our own culture. That is relevant to me, because it is going to give us a peaceful environment, making our country highly tolerant.

The history, music, religion, food, folklore, and many others things, make a solid Nation, that is why many people that are far away for their land or country one of their dreams is to go back to their home country and share one more time with their beloved beings.

I was born in Ecuador and I always try to keep my origins. In Canada it is very important to respect other’s people culture and customs. It makes the difference between societies.

Not too many countries around the world are like Canada, where you can find multi ethnic peoples background. That makes a great and beautiful country, where everybody is trying to be tolerant one to each other, because that is the one way how to make a good place where to live.
