Canada

Looking in on the lighthouse in dowtown Fredericton, New Brunswick in the Maritime Provinces, Canada

My son and I travelled to three Atlantic provinces which are NS=Nova Scotia; NB=New Brunswick; PEI= Prince Edward Island at the end of August. In fact, we can sum up all the sightseeing we did in a few words. They are:
east = Cape Breton Island;
west = Bay of Fundy;
north = Anne of Green Gables;
south = Peggy’s Cove;
middle = Charlottetown and Halifax.

We loved the fish and seafood, especially the fresh lobster and smoked salmon.

The place I liked the best is Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Island. The Cabot Trail Highway round ring is the riskiest part of the trip. It connects the ocean and mountains and goes around Cape Breton National Park. The end of Skyline trail is where the sky meets the ocean. That makes you relaxed and happy and stays in your memory. It was the most wonderful time, most beautiful landscapes, all reserved for our enjoyment. We stayed one night at the national park.

The reason we went to the Maritimes is because those provinces witnessed Canadian history. Charlottetown is Canada, the birthplace of Confederation. Great George Street is where the Federal Council buildings and other places of interest can be seen. In Halifax, the Atlantic coast has experienced American forts, 19th century Scottish military capacity, shipbuilding for 2 world wars. You can see museums and monument to all this history there.
