Canada

I came to Canada in 2012 on a spousal sponsorship visa. It was just a co-incident that my husband was living in Canada. It was eighteen hours of direct flight from Karachi International Airport to Toronto Pearson Airport. It was the first time I travelled alone on flight. So it was a bit of excitement.

On early days of my arrival, I didn't find much difference in infrastructure of both countries as they both have same high rise buildings, highways, bridges etc. But after living and spending time here, within very short period of time I fell in love with this wonderful country. Its unique cultural diversity has made it very special.

I noticed that Canada is a land of immigrants, whose people come from different parts of the world. They have different cultures, religions and colours but they live peacefully and respect each other like one nation. Every Canadian is a volunteer and always ready to help others.

Another great thing I find here is education friendly environment without any discrimination. Anybody at any stage of life can have opportunity to learn. Back in 2012-2013 when I was expecting first time, I didn't have enough awareness of pregnancy. It was the Healthy Start Class for Pregnant Moms that educated me. I learned everything there to be a good mom. From kindergarten to Grade 12 education is free.

Canada has a peaceful environment with low crime rate. People obey and respect the laws because strict laws and heavy penalties make them do so. Besides this awareness and training, given throughout life during formal and informal education play the vital role to maintain this environment.

In addition to all these blessings, Canada is one of the most beautiful countries in the world having every colour of weather. It has snow in the east, warm weather in the west, forests with free animals, skyscraper mountains, lakes and the most beautiful Niagara Falls.

I believe Canada is a very nice place to live in. There are many things that make me a proud Canadian such as its extensive education system, career opportunities, cultural diversity, excellent health care system and its wonderful environment. The country attracts people to choose it as their desired homeland.
