Homeland

A red maple leaf floats in a bucket

I would like to share my experience of living in Canada. The first day I had the strangest feeling in my life. First, let’s talk about the weather in Canada. There are rainy days in summer, which I did not experience in my country, Israel. The subway in Toronto is much bigger than that in my native country. They have a lot of stops, and it was a fantastic and exciting experience. It was so complicated to find the correct station and there were a lot of directions. It took a few months to get used to it and to understand the directions.

One more difference in Canada's system is the health system. In the emergency room, you should wait for a long time to see a doctor. Israel is better in this respect. One more thing is the traffic lights. When you turn left, you have to be very careful, because in most intersections there are no traffic light for left turn. The last thing I would like to say about Canada is the garbage collection. Here the environment protection is much better, the opposite of Israel where everything is considered waste.

To sum up, I want to make it clear that Canada is reliable and quiet and there is freedom here, and I hope to live in peace.
