One night between 1am and 2am I got bitten. I examined my skin and I saw that it was red. I thought that the insect was a mosquito, but I didn't find any other mosquitos in the bedroom. The next night, I got bitten 4 times; one bite beside the other, so I decided to inspect my clothes, mattress and everything in the bedroom. After 15 minutes of inspection, I found a small insect that I had never seen before. I put it in a ziplock bag and I googled “small insect found in bed”. I saw its picture and I read the name “Bed Bugs”. I went back to sleep because I thought I had solved the problem. After one hour, I got bitten again and so did my wife. I decided to talk with the owner.

He gave me a document about what I needed to do before the pest control technician could come and spray my apartment. I needed to vacuum, dry my clothes a hot temperature for 20 minutes, put them in a bag and close it tightly.It was very hard.I couldn’t sleep at night, so we change our plans for the week. We went to a hotel the day the specialist came and sprayed the apartment.

It was a hard week with little sleep and lots of stress. Finally, after hard work, our apartment is clean from this pest, but we need to be careful to prevent its return. We need to vacuum a lot, we put vaseline in the legs of beds as prevention, and we hope that it never happens again.
