Settlement

My first contact with a Canadian family was yesterday. It was a really warm Sunday, and the sky was very clear. Our neighbors Glen and Kim invited us to their house. It was the first time in my life (I mean, somebody Canadian invited me to their house)! Before that, I saw that only in American movies. We didn't accept that invitation right away because my husband's sister and her husband promised to visit us that weekend, but they didn't. So, my husband made souvlaki, and we invited these neighbors to our house. I felt a little bit scared about what kind of conversation I can make with foreign people. But this couple is so pleasant that we spent together all day in our backyard and it felt not enough time to talk. Glen is 51 years old. He is from Nova Scotia. He has two children. They already grew up and moved to another province in Canada. Kim is 50 years old and she has three children with the same situation like Glen’s. She is from British Columbia. He is a funny man and she is a very gentle woman, who understands her husband's jokes. Kim sells clothes in Toronto. Glen works in Barrie. He services medical equipment, and also he is a good specialist in any kind of wood work. My husband also likes these people very much! I felt so good - I never feel like this with the lots of my relatives (Maybe it's sounds terrible, but it's true). So, now we have beautiful neighbors, and I hope we could keep our relationship in a good condition for many years.
