Travel (Outside of Canada)

San Francisco skyline at night, California, USA.

Last winter, my husband was invited to a conference in San Francisco, California, USA. I was on cloud nine since I like traveling and visiting new places. Even though our flight was exhausting, I was very excited about this trip. To my delight, our hotel was a vintage hotel and it was in the in the heart of San Francisco, which made it easier for me to go by myself and take a tour of this wonderful city. Regardless of feeling lost at first, I was determined to discover the city and visit as many places as I could during our trip. So I did some research about the attractions in the city, and my first stop was the Golden Gate Park. Though, it may sound as a regular park but it was one on of the city’s fantastic attractions. Moreover, it was a huge park and you would need more than one day to explore its 1000 acres. My favorite part during my visit to the park was riding the carousel. I enjoyed the feeling like a child even if it was for few minutes only.

The next day, we took a ride in the cable car, which is one of the famous attractions that should never be missed, and we went to Pier 39 where we enjoyed the amazing views of San Francisco Bay. Moreover, we also took a cruise and sailed underneath the stunning Golden Gate Bridge and around the well-known Alcatraz.

Before the end of our trip, we just couldn’t skip visiting the Ghirardelli Square with its beautiful shops, specifically, the Ghirardelli chocolate factory where you can find some of the finest chocolate in North America.

Unfortunately, on our way back to Canada, our flight was cancelled because of a snow storm, but that didn’t bother me too much, as this trip was the best I have ever had in years, and I am always looking forward to going and visiting San Francisco again as I know there is still a lot to explore there.
