Employment

long corridor in hospital with surgical beds

I have a morning job and evening job. In the morning I work as a smoke house operator in a fish factory. When I get to work very early in the morning, I need to first check the fire and prepare the sawdust. I make it a little bit wet in order to have consistent smoke and then get the smoke machine ready to run.  I have to make sure that the smoke room is smoky before I put the fish inside. In order to prepare the fish for smoking, first somebody brings the fish to my area.   Then, I soak the fish in brine overnight.   After that, I put it on a rack, layer by layer, and if it is ready I take the whole rack to the smoking room and set the program for a designated time in order to cook it properly.  I finish this job at 3:00.   I have a short break after work.  I usually can have a snooze for half an hour and then I head out to my second job.

At 4:30 I need to drive for 15 minutes to get to my second job where I start at 5:00 and finish at 1:00 a.m. I work in the operating room at our local hospital.  I am a cleaner there.   I need to clean the rooms after the surgery. I have seen some strange things in the operating rooms!  I love working at the hospital, everyone there is so nice and professional.

I am so busy with work, but I am very lucky to have two jobs.
