Rasmalai is very famous and one of the favourite desserts in Pakistan and India. People love to make it on special occasions.
The recipe of Rasmalai is as follows:
Ingredients to make milk balls:
- Milk powder - 2 cups
- Cooking oil / Ghee - 2 tablespoons
- Eggs - 2
- Baking powder - 2 tablespoons
- Plain flour - 1 tablespoon
Ingredients to make milk syrup,
- Fresh milk - 2 litres
- Sugar - 2 cups
- Green cardamom - 9-10
Method,
- Put fresh milk, sugar and green cardamom in a pot, boil it once and leave it on low heat for 15 minutes.
- Then mix milk powder, baking powder, plain flour and in a separate bowl.
- Then put oil or ghee, in this mixture and mix well again.
- Add eggs and make the dough.
- Don’t add water if the dough is hard, we can add a small amount of warm milk.
- Leave it for 5 minutes.
- Then make small balls of the same size.
- Then put these balls in to milk syrup.
- Increase the heat of stove. Once milk boils, leave it for 15 minutes on slow heat.
- After that, switch off the heat and keep in refrigerator to get cold.
- Then garnish with almonds and pistachio.
- Serve and enjoy the wonderful sweet.
