puzzle with the national flag of canada and egypt. concept

I am of Egyptian origin, from Egypt. I finished my high school in a French school, graduated from the Faculty of Computer Sciences, Ein Shams University, married an Egyptian man and, then, immigrated to Canada with my husband and children.

Above all, I am satisfied with my ability to communicate. When I arrived in Canada, I had a hard time expressing myself and saying what I wanted; it was the problem of the English language that was handicapping me. My mother tongue was French; I did not speak English at school where I worked. Therefore, I contacted school boards that offer English language courses funded by the Ontario government to immigrants. Now, after four years, I feel good because I speak English, which was not the case before. Also, I met a lot of people from different backgrounds, which allowed me to improve my communication skills. As bilingualism develops cultural appreciation and promotes respect for differences between people and cultures, so now I can speak the two languages.

Later, I got my first work opportunity in Canada, after two months, in Country Style. I benefited a lot from this job, specifically I learned how to communicate with people and deal with them. But, after 8 months I decided to study, so I joined Sheridan College. I studied five subjects in accounting and I worked in an accounting office for one year. During this time, I finished the taxes courses from HR block. But I could not follow this job as I became tired - I used to work all the day with numbers and codes. By chance, I got the opportunity to work in a French school as a French teacher. I loved this job and love kids, so I joined Boreal College to be a certified French teacher. By learning, I am directly advancing my career with valuable skills or picking up a new hobby.
