Settlement

I came to Canada in April 2013 with my oldest daughter Evelina. My husband came before us in January 2013. Being alone with a child was a hard way to travel. At that time, I didn't know English at all. Flying across the ocean was the most exciting. I knew that on the other continent a loving husband and father was waiting for us.  He met us at the airport in Edmonton. It was the most touching moment in my life; we all cried with happiness to be together, because it was the first time we had been apart for a long time.

Now we are happy because we are always together. In Canada our family has increased and we gave birth to a boy and a girl three years ago.  Additionally, two months ago we bought our new home.

I wish all new arrivals to find happiness and peace in the new country.
