It has been two years that I celebrate Mother’s Day in May without my mom because she lives far away from me. Before that, when I lived in Syria, I used to celebrate in March with my family and my mother too because that is when Syrian people celebrate Mother’s Day.
This year I celebrated my day with my family in Canada. First, we went to church in the morning. Then, we went to a restaurant to eat dinner. My daughters gave me a surprise gift. We had a happy day.
