When I was younger I always wanted to be an Architect. As I grew older the passion and drive I had to pursue those dreams began to wane. Let me be clear, I’ve always had high aspirations for myself but honestly as time progressed I didn’t know what direction my life was going. Uncertain of where I was headed, I found myself in a limbo, a limbo that unfortunately lasted longer than it should have.

Upon arriving in Canada. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do. It was unchartered territory. I registered for classes at a Collegiate school to pass time and become acquainted with my new surroundings. As time went by I discovered ads in newspapers regarding schools. I decided to call one, Everest College, where they immediately registered me for their program Medical Office Administration, which I knew nothing about. I liked it in the beginning but eventually 4 months in I realised it wasn’t for me. I was no longer challenged and my interest rapidly diminished. After going through their catalogue of programs one afternoon, I discovered Business Administration which inspired me to switch programs.

Business seemed like a logical choice since you could apply it to numerous industries; because it covered a wide variety of disciplines (Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Operations). I enjoyed it thoroughly. It challenged me in every way and opened my eyes. Of all the subjects I took I enjoyed Finance and Economics the most. Upon finishing school, I went into a job that wasn’t related to what I studied.

I found myself disheartened as I tried fervently trying to escape the blackhole I found myself in. To no avail I could not move beyond my job as a Server try as I might. Another opportunity presented itself in 2017 when I attended Humber College. It gave me the chance to put myself in a better position when job hunting.

What I hope to accomplish is to pursue a university degree and find a job that will inspire me to be a better person all the while keeping true to providing stability in all forms.
