Health

Blurred abstract view of doctor's office waiting room

In my country, Brazil, as in Canada, health care is universal, that is, access to health care is guaranteed by law to all citizens. The health system is very similar; the only difference is that in Brazil there is also a private parallel system, but in Canada health care is only universal. All people have to be treated well under this system, regardless of social class. Everyone has access to the same treatment and the same doctors. In Brazil, the rich use the private system through their health plans, and the poor have to go to the public system that does not work because of the government's lack of investment. I am an example because I used the private system in Brazil, which was very expensive, but in Canada, I had to use the public health care system and did not have to pay anything. I believe that if in Brazil all rich or poor people had to be cared for in the same places, the public health system would be better. Today it does not work and many people die in need of care.
