A holiday at home is much more relaxing than going anywhere because of personal reasons. I can't visit my home country every year for many reasons and some are monetary reasons, time and risks associated with travelling to a country which is involved in war.

However, when I visit Afghanistan, it is one of best times of my life because I can visit my family, friends, and eat delicious food. I have a big and loving family there and I do not have any family in Canada and that is what I miss. Whenever I visit Afghanistan, not only am I very happy but also the whole family is extremely excited.

Firstly, I miss my friends that I have grown up with and had good and bad times with. Although they are all married or have their own families, when I am there, they come and visit me whenever they have the opportunity, and we talk about the old times and refresh our memories.

Secondly, I miss the food that is prepared there, which is mostly grown in their own farms and are organic. For me it tastes better. It could be that they serve it with love and passion and everyone gathers to enjoy the food together.

These are the things that I miss about my country and whenever I visit it, it is very relaxing and special. It is better than going anywhere else.
