Seasonal

My name is Ola. I’m from Syria and I have three kids.  I came to Canada two years ago, and I found it so beautiful.  I immediately felt  at home.  I think everybody who came from Syria felt like that too.

The amazing thing in my story is that I went camping with my relatives after only two days  arriving in Canada. When they invited me I didn’t think a lot about it and I said yes why not. I thought it’s going to be a beautiful experience for me and the kids . And everything was beautiful:  nature, an  amazing lake, squirrels and chipmunks everywhere, soft sand, warm sunlight and our lovely tent.

After we arrived at the campsite, we went on a hike to discover the area.  I loved it. Then we went on a little trip with the canoe. There is nothing in the world more relaxing and amazing than canoeing. Then we had a barbeque.   The food tasted so good that I think I  ate like a horse. After that we sat around the fire eating marshmallows, chatting and singing; what beautiful memories.

Finally we laid down in our sleeping bags in the tent . I had difficulty falling asleep. I was afraid of insects, so I slept in the car.

I believe camping is very good for relaxing and enjoying nature,  and if you are a new comer to Canada, you have to try it. Of course camping need a lots of preparation that I wasn’t aware of  until my dear English teacher gave me an assignment about camping. It was very helpful, and I think I’m going to prepare my own camping trip with my family by using the information in the link which I’m happy to share with you.
