My family favorite season of the year is summer because of the nice weather, the school vacation, and the endless family activities. Summer is the hottest season of the year, having the longest days and shortest nights. It is also a very interesting and entertaining season, especially for the kids. On nice warm days, my family and I enjoy playing soccer at the park and riding our bikes, but on really sunny, hot days, we like to beat the heat by going to splash pads or to the outdoor swimming pool. Most of all, our favourite things to do are picnics and BBQs. Juicy hot dogs and hamburgers, corn on the cob, and refreshing fruits make it special. Let’s not forget the ice-cream which the kid’s favourite. In night time, everyone can stay up late and wake up whenever we want. We always watch a new movie or play any family games. These are the reasons why summer is our favorite season.
