Winter 2015

Seasonal

Last weekend some of our friends and us decided to go camping at a provincial park located on the southern shores of Lake Simcoe, 70 kilometers north of Toronto.  It is named Sibbald Point Provincial Park.

After around one hour driving on Highway 400/404 North, we arrived at the nice green park “Sibbald Point”. The weather was a little windy and the sun was shining brightly - what lovely weather it was. It reminded me of the moment when I met my wife in a garden near my high school!

We unpacked the car, pitched our tents then we made a fire. I made some tea on the fire and we sat around the fire. I like this behavior to gather and talk instead of talking on the phone or Skype or anything like that.

At midnight, the weather was a little cold but that was ok and we had enough clothes to get warm.  One of our friends is a guitarist and he played some memorable songs. What a nice night it was.

Early in the morning we had breakfast near the beach. I decided to swim in the lake but the water was so cold that I could only put my leg in the water. So we just walked on the beach for a couple hours and went back to our camp site. We had lunch and packed our stuff to head home.

It  was my first camping trip of 2018 to Sibbald Point. I believe that next time the weather will be warmer and we will enjoy it more and more.
