Travel (Outside of Canada)

Various old lamps on the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul

Last year I travelled to Istanbul (the Turks call it Bilad Al Salateen), one of my favourite countries, with my cousin, for one week. Istanbul is huge, the city is as big as any other European capital; however, Turkey is a cheap destination if you compare it with other countries. With good travel planning I'm sure you'll enjoy your trip to Istanbul without emptying your pockets. The people in Turkey are very nice and welcoming too.

Turkey is one of those places that gets a bad rap by the media, but when you actually visit the country, you find that people are very different. They love conversation. I get the feeling that everyone in Turkey is smart. Turkey has a very old culture, and the food in Turkey is also amazing.  I really enjoyed that trip and I had happy memories. I wish I could return soon to Istanbul to discover more about this city.

Now I am planning to travel to the USA. I have friends there who I knew from university nine years ago, some of them in Tampa and others in Maryland. We will go to nice places like Disney Land, the White House and museums. I'm sure I will spend a great time with them and I won't forget this time with my friends.
