Parenthood

Curious little boy helping his father to plant the tree while working together in the garden

The person who had a great impact on my life was my father. Whenever he would enter the house and despite his fatigue, he would be smiling so that he wouldn’t let us feel his exhaustion. Other times, when we would be studying he would read the newspaper or any other book, just to keep us on track and focused on studying. When we were done, he would play smart games with us to keep our brains fresh and active, and we would wish that the day wouldn’t end because we had lots of fun. Other reasons that made me influenced by my father him standing beside us, even when we had the smallest problems in life. He was loyal, sincere, honest and supportive, and above all he was the greatest father in the world.

I wish my children knew him but unfortunately he passed away before they were born. If I had a time machine, I would go back in time and tell him lots of things just like I used to do when I was a kid. I will keep praying for him to rest in peace in heaven, and If I do go back to Syria, I will definitely visit his grave.

He was, is and will always be my hero.
