My favourite movie is Sanam Teri Kasam. It is about a Hindu girl named Saraswati. She is very traditional and reserved and gets rejected by many men for marriage because of her dressing style and the way she looks. In her building there is also a young man Inder who lives with his girlfriend. Saraswati's father does not like him as he has been to jail. Saraswati goes to him to ask him for help from his girlfriend to give her a makeover so she can impress a man at her workplace. When she goes to his house, she finds out that he has broken up with his girlfriend. While they are talking his ex- girlfriend appears drunk and throws a wine bottle at Inde. He gets hurt and Saraswati tries to heal where his wound. The watchman appears all of a sudden and the whole community gathers including Saraswati's dad. They think that Inder and Saraswati are having a physical relationship before marriage which is wrong for them. Her father disowns her, and she is left all alone. Inder helps Saraswati by helping her find an apartment and also getting a makeover. She impresses her office colleague and they decide to get married. Inder also falls in love with her but keeps quiet because he wants her to be happy. Her colleague rejects her on the day of marriage because his father does not want a disowned daughter-in-law. She goes back to Inder and they get intimate. The next morning, he looks for her and he sees her with her office colleague again. He is heartbroken and leaves. Soon after he finds out that Saraswati is not with her office colleague, and he looks for her. When he finds her, he tells her about his feelings for her, but she passes out. He takes her to the hospital and finds out she is suffering from a brain tumor called meningioma. He goes to Saraswati's parents house and tells them to stop pretending like their daughter is dead. Inder asks Saraswati to marry him. On their wedding day, Saraswati's parents arrive and accept the marriage. On her wedding day she faints again. She dies in Inder's arms and he is heartbroken. According to her wish, he buries her under a beautiful flowering tree. At the end, he is seen standing in front of her grave as a successful sober lawyer and he promises to love her forever.

This movie was my favorite because it showed that no matter what happens if you try hard enough love will always succeed and even after Saraswati died, Inder kept their love alive and did not break his promise to keep loving her forever.
